Radiofrequency Skin Rejuvenation

As we age, our skin naturally loses the radiant glow of youth. Photoaging, also referred to as extrinsic ageing, is predominantly caused by exposure to ultraviolet waves (UV) from the sun over a long period of time. Sun damage, caused by exposure to these UV rays, speeds up photoaging through the breakdown of collagen and elastin in skin cells. The loss of collagen and elastin causes the skin to sag and lose its firmness. Sun exposure may be the biggest cause of premature skin ageing, but there are other major causes such as smoking, pollution, alcohol, poor diet and repeated facial expressions. Eventually, our lifetime of accumulated sun exposure wears down our natural shields. Our skin comes under direct attack, and we begin to see more clearly the signs of ageing: wrinkles, sagging skin, enlarged pores, freckling, and spider veins.

Rejuvenation is the process of reversing these signs of ageing and restoring your skin to its previous youthful appearance. Here at AF Cosmetic Clinic, we offer the following treatments to rejuvenate your skin to its former glory.

How It Works?

Radiofrequency is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure to help smooth, tighten, contour and help reduce the appearance of cellulite. It can help treat sagging skin, lack of definition in the jawline, loose jowls, sagging neck skin, wrinkles and fine lines. Radiofrequency uses electrical pulses to target and penetrates the underlayer of the skin using heat to stimulate collagen production. During a typical treatment session, you will feel a brief deep heating sensation. Results should be visible immediately and improve over a period of two to six months. Treatment sites include: face, area surround the lip, outer orbit area of the eyes, arms, thighs, abdomen, hands and buttocks.

Your friends will notice a natural and enhanced difference in your skin appearance as your sessions progress. Jennifer Aniston credits them with keeping her skin “lifted”,

At AF Cosmetic Clinic, we use the latest in skin therapy innovation and technology to deliver superior results.

Is there any other discomfort or downtime involved?

It takes approximately 45 minutes to treat a whole face, and the only discomfort is some feeling of heat in the skin (which not everyone gets). There is no downtime – you could easily have a treatment at lunchtime and go out that evening looking amazing!”
